Transition - Shoelace

Late one summer evening
When I got that dreadful call
The voice on the other line
Was crying in hysterical
Once they found her lying
Next to the bed I sat right there
I tore up all the pictures
Thought back realized I didn't care

Ask me why
It's hard to find
Trust in someone else's eyes
When the past fades to gray
Question what you ask and find a way
